Thanks for the reply Darryl. I agree with you that re-installing Pro tools is a waste of time, I know levels in my sound edit sessions aren’t messed up, I’ve never had a dubbing mixer complain about them, so I trust them.

Because the quantum doesn’t support a surround setup I’ve decided to buy a sound volume controller, a friend has recommended the SM Pro Audio Mpatch 2 (5.1).

In the meantime I’ve set up a 5.1 auxiliary track for metering and using my Master Fader for volume control. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for clarifying that, from the only Quantum box I've seen that was the "Quantum" 26x32 interface, it had the all output control. I would gave also assumed they all had that more flexible volume control, that's what I like in the video.

Since the Quantum has "All" mode to control all outputs and your Quantum 2626 does not then why not upgrade/swap your 2626 for a Quantum? Saves less hassle of an external box etc.
