Sonnett 1.4 GHZ upgrade Didn;t work

Hi all..Just today received the new Encoe Crecendo St 1.4 GHZ for my AGP Graphics Mac..

The firmware was the current latest as per the Sonnet info ..
The card didn't want to boot the frst time ..after 3 attmpts it booted.and the System profiler said 1400 Cpu speed wow I though it even sees the card...
Tried to run Protools froze half way on openning...Another reboot worse..,Frozen halfway through loading ...
Openned the mac..Powered down first..earthed myself etc..The Heatsink is already getting warmish..No work doner..Took it back out..The CPU thermal area you know withe the thermal past looks like a burnt area...


What gives//
I seated the cRD..AND HEATSINK VERY FLAT AND EVEN...
AM NOW TALKING TO MAKESENSE AUSTRALIA TO GET A REFUND / NEW CARD...

FOR THE 1 MINUTE THAT THE CARD WAS WORKING THE FOLDERS ETC OPENNED LIKE VERY FAST...

ANY IDEAS..THOUGHT THAT YOU ALL SHOULD KNOW...

Exchange it for a new one!

I have upgraded my Mac with a OWC 1.4 upgrade CPU the first one they send to me have error on it which I send it back got new one I have done a flew project with it no problem at all.

Use your Apple Hardware Test CD to see if you get this error on logic board test "scc_/3/7"
