Default Re: No system audio through HDX card with Apogee converters

are your AD16X and DA16X updated to the latest firmware? (you had to open them up and plug in to an internal connector to do the update.)

Around 2008 there was a firmware update that was necessary to get more compatibility with future Pro Tools. One other thing changed is that the computer needed to be on before the interfaces (that included reboots.) This was so the interfaces could detect which HD/HDX card they were hooked to and switch modes. After they had switched modes (by detecting the card when they were powered on), they would/will stay in that mode. So then the computer can be restarted/rebooted. But if they were were all off again at some point, the same process needs to be repeated: computer on first, then interfaces.

(the interfaces knew the card only when they were powered on which is why the computer needs to be on first)

^ means is PT seeing the Apogees as Digi 192 or Avid HD interfaces?

I just did the same thing on my Mac Studio with HDX and a couple Apogee X-HD equipped addresses. Changing the channels in the speaker configurator fixed my issue.

Thanks!
