No, just realistic. Why should Apple make it easy to use a competitors hardware or software with their competing products, and why should Avid bother supporting their hardware with a competitors software, especially when they've been less than helpful over the last 12 years? It's no worse than anything Apple did when they bought Logic in the first place.

Euphonix didn't have any products that competed with Apple and indeed offered enhanced control over Apple products compared to just plain old HUI for ProTools. Funny how when a competitor - Avid took them over and extended full Eucon functionality to its own range, that problems start with Apple products...

Apple bought e-magic in 2002. Since then, Logic has been getting better and better. The latest version of Logic X is freaking fantastic.

The fault in Mavericks compatibility is square on the shoulders of Avid, that's it. Anything more you are spouting is pure conspiracy theory nonsense.

Don't know what you guys are banging on about. Take it somewhere else. This is my nice little thread I started 4 years ago hoping to get the windows to follow bank selection problem solved. Every year or so I like to swing by for old times sake and vent at the fact there has been 3 massive new versions of PT and somehow this bug has been neglected in each version or the countless updates.

Be upgrades. They should be .x releases

But then again apple thrives off the PR machine bigger. Better faster, and not to mention they get to sell new hardware and kill off old machines
