i appreciate all the help but i have just decided to sell my mbox2 and buy another audio interface and recording program to much difficulties with pro tools thanks

Hi yes just before i sell my mbox i would like to figure out one last solution because ive noticed something that i never heard before every time i play vedios or music or try and switch plugins in FL studio i hear this crackling distorted sound coming out from my speakers could this be the problem and what is causing this sound? thanks

The problem you were experiencing wasn't necessarily a PT problem.
You still have the same potential to experience the same type of problem with another DAW and different interface.

They all have similar system requirements and dislikes for various hardware aspects, so the change doesn't assure a easy resolution.

Here is the link to DPC latency checker: http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml run it on your machine. If the meters are red then your machine is in trouble and needs to be reconfigured.
