Using The MBox2 as an interface?
I hope this makes sesnse. My DAW is Ableton Live 7, I love its sequencer. I have an Mbox 2 running on XP on a PC. I'd like to be able to record guitar parts into Live 7 so that I can tweak and experiment with them. Then once I have everything completed I'll dump it all back to PT.
I'm confused on how to get the guitar signal through the Mbox2 to Ableton Live without having to first go through PT. Ableton has the ability to record directly into its seqeuncer and i've heard that the Mbox can be reconfigured with certain drivers or something to that effect in order to use it solely as an interface. Is this true? I appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Did my explanation make sense? Thank you. |

Re: Using The MBox2 as an interface?
Abelton should see your Mbox thru the Digidesign Asio driver which is automatically installed when PT is installed.
Just choose the Mbox as audio interface in Ableton.
