Ouch.

I dislike the idea of bringing in fresh coders. There is definitely something to be said for experience, and not just in the field, I mean with the particular code/software that you are working on...... as in the guys who have likely been working on coding for who knows how many years already and have a solid grip on what's what in there.

I've done some coding in Basic, Visual, C, etc, and I can tell you, that even knowing the language doesn't give you an immediate grip on what you're looking at if you dive head first into an existing program, especially something on the level of a DAW..... So I have some concerns , might cause for MORE bugs.

I'll concur; they could definitely use help in the de-bugging field, but Ouch.... I hope they still have some long timers there.

Sometimes it helps with a pair of fresh eyes, too. I am crossing my fingers for some fast progress here.

I agree with the other poster as to the mundane nature of this. A software company hires coders--good news I would imagine. It does take a while to get productive, though.

What's next, PRS hiring people with experience in sanding and wood finishing, mackie hiring people who can solder? Best Buy hiring people who can sell extented warranties?

Would have been a great job for me back in the day, but my C is light, and I am a database heavy now.

They could simply be adding staff for recoding for Snow Leopard too.
Did you see the words "board design". Let's hope it's much more than Snow Leopard.
