001 output question, please help!

Hi, so i plug my guitar into my octopre LE and everything has been hooked up right in the past and has worked fine, but i notice a weird almost hissing sound. I then proceed to pan the mono track left and everything sounds perfect through the left monitor, i then pan the track right and hear that through the right monitor there is a weird hissing noise added to the guitar, almost like there is extra gain on the channel or something. So my first instinct is that something is wrong with the monitors, but on later trials i plugged the monitor left output of my 001 into the monitor that was causing me the problem and panned the track to that monitor and it sounds perfect, but the previously good monitor sounds bad when plugged into the monitor right output. So i have come to the conclusion that something is wrong with my monitor right output on my 001. Is it possible that i have wrong settings for the output or can this be fixed. Anybody have any bright ideas or experience with this sort of thing? Is my 001 just fried? Thanks for any thoughts and opinions.
