Default Tube Saturation

Hi DUCers,

is there any plugin that comes with PT9 which can simulate a saturation like the one you get from tube mic pre-amps?
I did not find anything quickly...
If not, which one would you recommend to buy?

Thanks,

Andy

PS I like the one which is included in Izotope's Nectar plugin (recently tested the demo). But I just need the saturation, not everything around that (Nectar also includes reverb, delay, compressor, etc. etc.).

Mellowmuse has one(can't remember the name), Massey has a tape sim, and Avid has Real Tape Suite. Massey is the bargain(and they have a free demo version). Then Steven Slate has the classic Console Collection and Antares has a tube saturator. There's more out there, but this is a start.

You can find the Reel Tape Saturation iLok asset on eBay for less than $100 with the $25 transfer included.

It is not a tube saturation, but may give you the desired effect at a relative bargain price.

Also, a lot of the emulators are reproducing the analog sound of solid-state consoles. Warm isn't always in the components, but in the design of the circuit.

Thank you all for the qualified infos!
I tried the SATV demo and liked it. Slate VCC looks very cool, but is twice the price tag. So I think I will get a SATV licence. I would prefer if it was authorized via ilok though...

There's also 112dB's Redline PreAmp that works well.. Each of these mentioned is a little different from the others..

Demo a few things and see what fits your bill.

Merry Christmas!
