Post Opening Pro Tools 9 Projects in Older Versions

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I'm working on some projects for University, the problem is that I'm running Pro Tools 9 at home and my lecturers are running Pro Tools 8 LE. Is there a way for me to save my projects so that they can open them when I hand in my work?

Cheers

PT9 sessions open in PT8LE no problem, just watch the track counts, you can have more in PT9

PT 9 sessions should open fine in PT 8 LE, but any new features in PT 9 will be disabled in PT 8 LE. The main one to keep in mind would be delay compensation, as having this disabled could really change the sound of your mix. I would try to make everything sound the way you want it with delay compensation disabled in PT 9 by using Time Adjuster plugin or by nudging your tracks to manually compensate for the delay, then do a Save Session Copy In to make sure the session is self-contained, before handing them in. If you are on a different platform that your instructors (i.e. Mac vs PC) then make sure to check the Enforce Mac/PC Compatibility setting in the Save Session Copy In window. If you are not using delay compensation in PT 9 then disregard that part of my post.

Oh, and the track counts... good point Barakka!

I've been running without delay comp so that should be fine. I didn't realise it'd be that easy.
