im using the focusrite saffire pro 40 as my interface
what driver do i have to download

Upgrading from what?
You don't give nowheres near enough info. You know, basic stuff like what computer you're using, operating system, what previous version of PT you are moving from, etc.
We're pretty good at giving answers to problems but we're not mind readers. A look at the 'Help Us To Help You' link which is at the top of every page is a place to start.

SORRY SIR IM NEW TO THIS,
I HAVE A MAC MINI OS X 10.9.5
2.3 GHZ INTEL CORE i7
16 gb 1600mhz ddr3
i use a focus rite saffire pro 40 as my interface
I'm trying to upgrade from PT 11 to PT 11.2
when i launch protools a message comes up
saying an upgrade to PT 11.2 is available
then it says click here to find the driver you need to download
to get the upgrade. and thats where I'm stuck

Hi

If you go to your Avid account and under "my products and subscriptions" you will find the latest version 11.2.1 which you can download from there.

If your interface worked with PT11 it will work with 11.2.1 and no need to update any drivers for the interface to keep running.

Do read the release notes and make sure your system is compatible with PT11 so you don't run into issues later on down the road. Also make sure you have a working backup version of your system before updating if you need to be up and running 24/7 so if something goes awry you can just restore your last working system.

New to this? You've been a member here since 2005. It's not a matter of being new to this but a matter of providing info so people can give answers without blindly guessing and wasting time. Every system and configuration is different and requires different answers. PT isn't plug and play or Guitar Hero.

You do not need a driver to download the PT11 update - just do as Chris said. Interface drivers are a separate deal from PT installs. That's not to say you might not need a new driver for your Focusrite but you'd get that from Focusrite themselves.

I don't need to lighten up. People that post here (it doesn't matter if you're new or not) should know you can't just ask a question without providing some system info. It's only common sense and wastes time if they don't provide background info.
