Project X noise...

I use a Project X 9GB External Drive to store most of my sessions. I'm just now noticing that it makes this strange noise when I'm recording. I hear the same noise during playback and it coincides with the little yellow light on the hard drive. But when I record, it (the noise) actually can be heard on the tracks! Anybody else have this problem?

It sounds like this is the drive spinning. If you can hear the noise on the tracks, then you must be using your microphone either too hot or too close...

I have a project X and I do hear the drive spin in the room but definitely not on the tracks. I did experience some white noise at one point but that was solved by trashing the Digi preferences and reopening PT LE.
