IK Lussen Master Console

I have been playing around with this and has a nice touch. If I put a meter after it looks as it goes over.Does anyone use this plugin or stand alone? Would it be best to pull level down for final bounce or would putting another limiter after be better ?

Great plugin. Great sound and preset groups.

You can get under the hood and tweak the threshold for the units in the chain etc. but more options would be probably nice. That said, I like its limitations!

Regarding going over, I don't think I have ever seen this condition. Where is your Master Fader set? Is it above 0? Do you have gain being added after the Lurssen plugin? If so, make it the last plugin in your chain (before metering).

It seems if I put a meter after the console it goes into the red

I put mastering the mix levels,, it his over on the true peak,, I put the IK meter on looks like it is staying below. I wonder if I should but the waves l1 or l2 just tame any overs?

I don't have any plugins from masteringthemix.

Try some other alternative or just the dBFS reported on the Master in Pro Tools. Lurssen is pretty stellar IMHO 🤩

Is the plugin True Peak? If not, there might be overloads.

You better set the output to -0.2 or use a Farbfilter L2 in True Peak mode afterwords. f.Ex Waves L2 is not True Peak either.

I haven't really had much of a play with it. Usually in situations like this you can insert an eq prior to the mastering plugin to tailor how the audio hits to get the most out of it.
