At this point there are only a few people who could have done this. This was definately done by someone who knew where the stuff was and what to take. The average thief would have taken everything. These guys only took the HD which means they were specifically told to take it. Also it is obviously already in the hands of someone who intends to use it as this is not the type of rig that will end up in a pawn shop.

My appartment Complex bears no responsibility for this. I feel like I have been seriously taken advantage of. I am getting more and more upset as this goes on. Also I have still not been assigned a detective which is making it worse

Can you think through who's been in your facility over the last 6 months - was there someone in who hasn't returned since or who wasn't serious at the time? Most likely it will be someone who knows someone who's been in with you rather than the person themselves but who knows?

I really feel for you on this, I wish you well and hope in time you will see everything returned. I had a break in a few years ago and it was a very heartbreaking experience.

Dig,

Sadly, many of us have to learn the hard way about cr*p like theft. I had a glorious Les Paul Custom stolen from under my bed many years ago and that was what it took for me to learn (never got it back). What is really a pisser in this case is that the value of the goods was quite high, and I am really sorry you had to learn this way.

I pray that you get it back, but regardless, I'm sure now that you know that if you have equipment worth a lot of money, you have to have it insured. Secondarily, most business's have burglar alarms installed. If you've decided to put (even a small) business into your home, I think you have to consider taking the same precautions that a 'normal' business would, and that would certainly include a burglar alarm which rings directly through to the police so they show up when your place is broken into. Every business does this to protect their sh*t. People having their work at home should think about it, too.

Sadly, people have to deal with this because of dishonest people.

I'm sorry, and I hope you get it back...

I really hope I get it back to but I do not really have much hope. Your not going to believe this but I still have not heard from a detective. I have been calling 5 times a day and no response. I know this is due to the hightened security and I totally understand that the police have more important things to do. I feel totally without hope on this one. Thanks again for everyones help and please keep your eyes peeled.

Thank you

We still haven't seen serial numbers and a ccomplete list of what's stolen. You should also included a police report number and a phone number/contact should anyone come across this gear.

I just have to say this:

How could all these items get out of your place and NO ONE see it. That is strange!
