Default Digi Expansion chassis-PCIe \'slots\'

Hi - I am installing the digi expansion chassis. The host puter is 3G dual quad Mac Pro. The host card is digi's standard PCIe.

The question I have is, how should the Expansion slot utility be configured? There are options for 16 lanes for the video card and then other options for the remaining PCIe slots. If digi's instructions are followed, putting the PCIe host card in the slot nearest the graphics card results in it being a 1x slot. IS this OK for general use for an HD2 system?

TIA

Lumpo
