Default How to un-select all

Hi all,
Just returned to PT after a 10 year absence so excuse this if it's already been answered..and yes I did use the search function first.

In all the other DAWs I've used, it was possible to un-select everything on screen by hitting the escape key (esc).

That doesn't work in PT and as far as I can tell it's not possible to un-select everything without having to click somewhere in the edit widow or timeline...which I prefer not to always have to do.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks,
LC

If you mean an edit selection one of the simplest ways is to hit the Down arrow key.

Thanks for your reply..

But I mean when you select a track or tracks, in either the edit or mix windows.

Right now, the only way I can de-select a track is to use cmd-click.

Thanks,
LC

Opt-click a track will select all tracks - opt-click again will deselect all tracks.
(opt=alt on windows)
