Transient Audio at end of bounce
I am intermittently getting transient audio at the end of a bounce.
I have tried this with long / short delay on adc. When I check the bounced file there is a really short level spike on end of the file??? and it usually sounds like it is taking a very short audio sample of the keyboard as it sustains the last note of the song. Anyone have a clue. I absolutely never experienced on my HD2 system. Thanks in advance

Re: Transient Audio at end of bounce
If you have a delay involved, you will definitely invite such behavior.
Find the offending track with the delay, and fade out before the end. That's the only way to nip it. You can fart around with delay automation, but you will waste a lot of time. A digital delay in software behaves differently than an analog or digital delay in the real world. |

Re: Transient Audio at end of bounce
Lampmusic,
please give us more info about your system. I know this behavior from PT 5.1, but never encountered it since I am on PT 8.x. In PT 5.1 this was a known issue.

Re: Transient Audio at end of bounce
I simply open the final 2mix in Wavelab and trim the head and tail, save and close. Takes about 10 seconds

Re: Transient Audio at end of bounce
I thought for sure TOM would say it only takes him 6 seconds....... Sometimes the cause is effects popping back in to full volume after a fadeout

Re: Transient Audio at end of bounce
There is also sometimes an issue if enough extra ("empty space") isn't taken when selecting the area to bounce out. Any delay could be truncated, resulting in the sound at the end of the bounced file.
Cheers,

Re: Transient Audio at end of bounce
this system is Mac PRO 2.8 octocore (2009 - 1gen before nehalem i think) Digi 003r interface. PT9.0.3 using our PT9 HD asset.
It happens when using both long and short delay on adc. From memory i believe the dae is set to 4. The only way I could get it to bounce without the sound "pop" was to select any audio that was sustaining through the fade out automation and edit the tail of each track and put a linear fade. The same selection will bounce on our HD system without the glitch. I understand that a reverb decay, or delay repeats will be truncated if the bounce selection doesn't allow for it to die out, but it the master fader is automated to fade out there shouldn't be any audio after the fade right. Having to go through an extra step by editing of the end of the track is an extra step in the workflow. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this behavior using native vs HD? thanks
