No sound on ipad 2

Downloaded scorch on iPad 2 but can't get any sound to play with either the demo scores on my own scores. Deleted app and downloaded again, reset all defaults, sound works fine in all other music apps. Scores appear to play - they merrily move as if playing, stop and start. Any one got any ideas?
