Default WTF - page scrolling during playback?

Page scrolling during playback is only available in HD or as part of a paid upgrade (p334 of the User Guide)? Absolutely insane.

I am enjoying PT8 but sometimes when I find things like this I wonder what on earth Digi is thinking.

It's reportedly to save 'system resource'.

Not seeing your song when your currently editing it is a bit insane - maybe they could incorporate this neat little function in a forthcoming update.

I think you mean "Continuous Scrolling During Playback" where the current position is always in the center of screen.

PAGE scrolling, however, we have.
Options menu - Edit window scrolling - page.

Yes, continuous scrolling. I'd understand if it was only available in HD for resource reasons. I'd be amazed every other DAW producer could manage it, but I'd understand. However, you get it if you stump up the extra for an LE expansion kit. That's just bizarre.

Just semantics, smart ass. I think I clearly demonstrated I had read the manual.

I was referring to myself, i.e. 'I' didn't read the manual so surmised there was no scrolling song facility whatsoever.

I should have read the manual.

Oh well, never mind.
