Does Pro Tools support Processor Upgrades?

I'm using the MBox on an Apple Dual G4 500mhz AGP Graphics tower computer. I'm looking into buying the Giga Designs 1.7mhz Dual Processor Upgrade because i can't afford a G5 right now. Does anyone know if Pro Tools runs on processor upgrades? If you have one, how's it working for you? Or, if you know someone who has one, how's it working for them?

I've got a digital audio dp533 which has a Gigadesigns dual 1.2ghz upgrade. Works great with all my apps including protools. Great boost in performance.

I have a G4 similar to yours (AGP 450Mhz) and upgraded with the Gigadesigns 1.4Ghz about a year ago. I'm on a Digi001. Installation took about 10 minutes. At least for me, it has worked without a hitch so far on OS9 and when I recently migrated (slowly) to OSX.
