Default Netmix to ProTools creating Static.

Our new lab got its' first real work out. After importing files from Netmix to ProTools, ProTools will either immediately or soon there after play only static - no actual sounds. It is almost as if the data is corrupt. Then after a ProTools re-start it is ok. Additional imports may repeat the problem.

ProTools does not seem exhibit this problem if there has been no Netmix imports.

We are using quad core Intel towers 2.66GHZ w/4gigs of Ram with ProTools 7.3.1 CS4 LE running OS X 10.4.9 and Netmix 3.5.4.

Any help/insights would be greatly appreciated.

Buddy

Come on anyone??? It is a similar operation to Soundminer. We are using BCF files 16bit 48KHZ.

Could I just clarify the file type you are using?

BCF? I'm unaware of such a file maybe you mean BWAV?

Sorry C
They are BWAV files. After much perusing on Digi's site, I found an article about "white noise" coming from the original M-boxes. I did the firmware upgrade and so far it seems much better.

It is strange that Netmix would sort of set this behavior off. Hopefully this firmware upgrade will fix it for good.

Well maybe but this isn't a problem with SM so what are SM users supposed to say except maybe "switch", wich isn't actually all that helpful is it.
Glad it worked out.
