two different time signatures in one session?
How do I assign a 6/8 time signature to one segment of a session and 4/4 to another?

Re: two different time signatures in one session?
Simplest way is to have the Meter Ruler showing (via View menu, Rulers), align playhead/cursor where you want the Meter change to occur. Click + sign next to "Meter" in the meter ruler (left end), be sure time to insert is correct, enter time sig in proper fields, select the beat (whole, half, quarter, etc) and hit enter. Meter change applies til session end, unless another meter change is encountered later in the timeline.
To do a 4|4 to 6|8, and back to 4|4, you would simply insert the 6|8 where you want, since 4|4 is the default meter already, and then insert the change back to 4|4 where you want. SImple. For additional, or more advanced, meter instructions, the Ref Guide has info.

Re: two different time signatures in one session?
Thanks nikki-k. Big help! You are awesome! But now I've got another question. I've since decided I want to try the following:
two 3/4 measures followed by one 2/4 measure (i think). When I assign the meter changes, I still get 4 beats in the 2/4 measure. Maybe my music theory is a little lacking here, so let me elaborate. I want the following results...1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2...but I am getting 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,4. I guess I could just change the actual tempo of the 2/4 measure to get the desired results, but I'm thinking I'm missing something more simple here. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Re: two different time signatures in one session?
If it's a 2/4 bar (check the meter timeline) it should only count 2 beats to the bar.
