BASIC OS FUNCTIONALITY MISSING - OPEN/SAVE DIALOGS
has anybody else noticed that pro tools' open and save dialogs are missing a basic functionality to TAB the focus between the different parts of the window?
for example, when saving a session, once entering the name, one should be able to TAB to cycle between the text field, the left hand navigation window, and the main 'save to' location. this works in EVERY OTHER app i use, and i thought it was a basic part of os x keyboard equivalents. so why isn't it implemented in pro tools? seems like a no-brainer. the ability to move up/down hierarchy levels in the dialog DOES function using cmd-up/dn, but TAB doesn't do what it's supposed to do, AND it's also missing the ability to select items using the up/dn arrows! having only half of the implementaion makes it worthless. what's the point of navigating with key equivalents if one still has to grab the mouse to finish the job? sloppy coding. |
