Cranesong Phoenix II DSP in PT 10 TDM

Hi all,

Maybe I am just being dumb, but I am bit confused. I have an HD|6 ACELL system running PT 10.3.8 in OSX 10.8.5. I have used Cranesong Phoenix for years. I recently put 10 on this TDM ACELL system.

I downloaded the latest installer for Phoenix II (I certainly have an iLok asset for it), v1.8.3 which is supposed to be a universal binary installer of the 32bit and 64 bit plugin. But it is not showing up in the DSP menu. My Massey L2007, CT5, Massey De-Esser, MDM 3 and all the AVID plugins showup in the DSP menu. But not Phoenix II. I do see Phoenix II in the Native menu. I tried the previous version of Phoenix II -- even the 32 bit Only ones. Same thing. Native only.

Am I being dense, and this AAX plugin will only be DSP on an HDX system? Massey seems to be DSP on this ACELL system. So I thought that this would be DSP too.

Of course I email Cranesong. 3 weeks ago. Then again last week. My experience with them is that their support is very very slow. Google searches revealed nothing pertaining to my query. So I am asking here.

Hi Craig,

I realize that Phoenix II is the AAX update. It works fine as Native. So, I cannot run Phoenix II AAX DSP on an HD ACELL. Drat. I am running out of available voices with all this native stuff....

Ok, I will call them Monday.
