PT 6.4.1 TDM frustrations continue

OK, so this time I did a complete disk wipe and clean install of OS 10.3.4

then I installed ONLY PT 6.4.1 TDM from the installer which I purchased from the Digidesign site -
no ProTools LE installer was ever invoked.

Ran Digitest - all cards passed
(MIX - D24 - MIX I/O - 3 DSP Farms)

Ran Digicore setup - saw all my cards and interfaces. (2 882/20s)

Ran 6.4.1 TDM - once again got "application unexpectedly quit" alert - no error assignment.

Imagine my surprise .. is there any hope?

Try re-installing the Pace driver.

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files.

I had the same problem -
No amount of trashing prefs etc helped.
I then took plugins out and added them one by one.
I eventually tracked it down to Aphex plugins that became corrupted. Deleteing & reinstalling aphex did not help.
I eventually reformatted my HD, reinstalled everything and now its working again.
Hey - it only took about six hours ou of a day in which I would have slept for 5!
I love Protools (and have done so since v1.1 - remember the two seperate (Record & Edit) applications?) but IHATE IT WHEN IT GOES THIS WRONG!!!

PS - I now keep a folder wit the correct installs of everything on my HD (from OS to drivers) in a separate hd just in case!
