Is nudging possible with a laptop keyboard?

I was trying to nudge but it wasn't working(-/+) and I read the Keyboard manual and it says numeric keyboard only, so are us laptopers( ) out of luck? I was reading a technique and it says to nudge and it gets the perfect sound so this is why im just not manually moving it.

this was the only picture i could find. you can see that the regular '0' key is also the '*' key in numeric mode. so somewhere there are also + and - keys other than the regular ones.

O ok thanks rail ill get that soon, but looks like ill have to get a powered hub. Im suprised digi didn't really prepare for this, they even advertise that the MBox is made for a laptop/travling.

Every laptop I know has a numeric keypad accessible via a Function key (usually on the lower left corner of the keyboard). I've yet to find a laptop which doesn't have that functionality.

So if I hit the fn key I can use the nudge option and other numeric keypad shortcuts.

Yes.. it works with the same coloured keys on the keyboard to create the numeric keypad scan codes.

O ok thanks, I was read the keyboard shortcuts manual and you can nudge right or left by going < or > so its the same thing as going + or -.
