Default Receiving MIDI commands from sequencer

I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I didn't find it when I looked: I have been having trouble getting my Eleven Rack to respond to midi programs sent by a computer sequencer. I have been using this method for various devices for years, but this has some unique issues.

I'm only asking it to switch between a "rig" that uses distortion and a "rig" that is a clean sound (in most cases). When it switches to a distortion rig from a clean rig it does one of two things: it switches off the volume control, and I need to reactive it by bringing the toe down to zero (there is not always enough time for this in the song, but why settle for this anyway?), or it shifts the change to a later part of the song (which leads me to believe that the Eleven has a slower response time than a Pod, and even something from the '80 that I used to use). I can manually shift the positions, but I'm more concerned about the problem where the volume goes off. The source of the problem has been narrowed down to the Eleven, and not any other part of the setup. But, what is it in the Eleven?

What kind of delays are you talking about? Milliseconds? Seconds?

As far as the volume issue goes, was the patch saved with the volume set to zero? Try setting the "persistent volume pedal" option; that may help in your situation.

They are 16th note delays (or 120 ticks). So depending on the tempo of the particular song, it could be more milliseconds or fewer.

I won't have access to my Eleven again until Wednesday, but I'll check the volume setting of the patch -that would be great if that is the solution.

Where is the "persistent volume pedal" control? I don't remember seeing that.
