Default Save Copy Assertion "Could not 14405"

"Could not 14405 because Assertion in"/Volumes/Development/vb_protools_8.0_cpr_2/AlturaPorts/PT4_App/MacBuild/../PtSess/PtSess_XChg.cpp", line 1471.

Someone posted this in the LE forum.

Get the same error on a G5 dua 2.5 PCI-x 6gig ram booted off an firewire external 10.5.5 drive running PTHD 8.0 (no cs's) and a Mac Pro running the same off it's internal boot drive. Both finish the error description with "line 1466".

Also tried a macbook pro2.2 with 10.4.(9 or 11) PtLE7.3.1 mbox micro got the same error except line 1269.

All machines frequently have databases and volumes deleted, preferences restored, permissions repaired (a 10+ minute process on the G5).

How can this be fixed?
(PT 8 seems prone to "assertion" errors)

Need Save Copy function to make new folder with only this session's audio files to fit on a DVD- the audio files folder contains lots of files that are from other sessions that shared the same original live show files).

Thanks.

Default Re: Save Copy Assertion "Could not 14405"

I had this problem once a while back, and fixed it (I think) by doing one of these two things:

*Toggling the copy fades checkbox to be the opposite of what it was
*Rendering out the elastic audio in the session

Obviously, try the first one first.
