Default Routing Issues - Aux Track and MIDI Tracks

Hi,

I had this working yesterday but now the settings seem to be amiss. I have an aux track and I'm trying to make 4 MIDI tracks that share the same virtual instrument (East West Play). I have Play as the Insert for the Aux track, set to "No input" and output is 1-2 (my speakers).

For the MIDI tracks, I understand they're supposed to be set to All for Input and Play for output (and whatever channel I'm using). The thing is, the correct settings for the MIDI tracks are nowhere to be seen. Right now it's showing the same setting for the MIDI tracks as I have set for the aux track. When I click the dropdown I only get options like interface, bus, plugin, etc. There is no setting for "All" or "Play" for input/output.

What is going on?

Sounds like you mistakenly created 4 additional Aux tracks instead of MIDI tracks.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for responding.

Maybe that was it, but I thought I had the right tracks because the icon showing next to them was the keyboard icon. In any case I deleted the session and restarted my computer and it worked.
