Default PT8 Revibe Freakout

Hi,

Im having problems with the latest version of Revibe on PT8cs2 HD6, Osx10.5.5, G5 dual 2ghz, 4 gig of ram, expansion HD. Occasionally Revibe makes a noise like it's feeding back, overloading the channel output even though all routing is fine. Other times the reverbs are distorted. Removing the plugin then reinstantiating it does not fix it. Re-booting tools does.

This is one of many problems im having since moving to pt8/leopard on this rig. losing communication with the expansion chassis is the most common problem. it gives me dae errors 9161 and 7401 before crashing but ill wait till ive done a bit more troubleshooting before posting details about that.

Its also worth pointing out that we have an almost identical rig that seems to be running fine.

Anyone else having troubles with Revibe?

Cheers

Sam

Same thing with Revibe here (without Expansion Chassis).

Support should already have that on their screen...

Hello! I Have the same problem.
You can try to resolve with this:

1. H/W buffer size must be 1024 or better
2. Use the ProTools Pref and Database Helper to delete all pref's
3. Clean all cashes with Leopard cash cleaner.
4. Reboot MAC.

But i know - after 2- 3 days - errors will return.
DIGI PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
PT HD8; Expansion chassis with HD4; Mac PRO 8-core 2,8G; 6 Gb RAM; 192; Neve 8816.

Same issue here. Not a big deal to reboot PT, but still...

Oops. Doesn't sound too good.

On my MacPro, the user interface acts very sluggishly since i upgraded to 8.0cs2. I re-installed ReVibe with the latest installer, but the strangeness remains. Though i don't get the feedback mumbo-jumbo...

I'm curious if turning off DSP caching 'fixes' the problem for others as well.

The reason being - we're looking into issues with 3rd party plug-ins and DSP cache.

Are all your plug-ins up to date? Have you verified them against the Pro Tools Plug-in Compatibility Grid?

I haven't experienced this problem, FWIW. Does it happen reliably or is it a random occurence?
