Hey Frank, the .plist fix was for the previous version issues. 2023.11 will ignore the .plist code edit.

The issue you’re having must be related to something else.

Try powering off all your devices and restarting EuControl. Did you recently add anything to your system or network? Does your system go to sleep with the surfaces and tablets still connected and powered on?

Yeah, I'm aware. I had the fix applied back then and all was working great. Now with EC23.11 and the app update issues seem to have returned. It's the tablet that constantly disconnects and comes back now. Nothing else changes.
Power cycling doesn't help as been like this for days. SO I thought I'd apply the fix again anyway.

What kind of tablet? Fire HD?

yeah, HD10 on current OS. Maybe amazon is to blame. Who knows....
I honestly hate this OS on the fireHD. So confusing compared to iOS. I only use it for AVID control, nothing else.

Not that this will help much but maybe comfort. I had 3 FireHDs and they all had connection issues. I switched to Samsung Tab A’s and rarely have issues. There was a stubborn Wi-Fi bug with the Fires a few years back. Amazon rolled out an update that supposedly fixed it. It’s possible your tablet did an update and broke things again?

There are some deep dive settings on the tablet that might help. Something about switching off Metered Networking. I’m trying to remember what they were but maybe someone else can chime in. I’ll keep searching for them cuz they seemed to help at the time.

Do you still have the ads on the tablet or did you pay to remove those?

well this one as been totally fine so far. (well except for that glitchy week before the hot-fix), then totally fine again, now bad. I'm on the hotkey page 99% of the day anyway no traffic for meters.

I updated my post above re: metered networking on the FireHD. (This has nothing to do with Avid Control meters). There’s a preference in the Networing section of the Fires prefs. You’ll want to make sure metered network is turned off. I don’t remember the steps to do this but I’m sure you could Google it.

No "metered" setting anywhere. Isn't that for mobile data (LTE)?

Hope it helps. If not, Samsung is having some good sales right now in the US on the Tab A8. Perhaps as well in Europe.
