Default Is anyone successfully using a 100' digilink cable @ 96k?

If yes, with which interface? I can't get my Aurora N to play nice at 96k if I go longer than a 50' digilink. I'm also using a 75' WC cable to clock to MTRX which may be a contributing factor. Thanks!

I am using 100 foot cable with HD (TDM) system and HD interfaces (blue 192's) on my live rig. Works reliably. Only annoyance the cable is so thick coiling it almost takes two people...

Thanks Janne, just confirming that you are running at 96k? Also, are you using hardware inserts in this system?

Yes, mostly 96k. With larger track count need to drop to 48k. No hardware inserts. This rig is for front-of-house live mixing with band monitoring provided from within PT.

^^ think of S6L of 20 years ago. Using Avid C|24 control surface and sometimes (maybe once a year) mixing live in 5.1

First of all, all of the 100 feet need to be straight cable. Manual does not say that. But if you leave the other end coiled you may have problems.

Second, you better clean the connectors with alcohol. And after that leave it for few hours so everything vaporizes before you connect again.

Third, good luck

Ok, interesting. I have approximately 35' of cable coiled midway in this run. What is the underlying cause of the coiled cable problem? Thanks!

Magnetism -- the same reason you can magically charge your phone wirelessly.
