Pt10 Midi setup with Roland keyboard - how to??

Running PT10 with digi002. Have Roland keyboard connected to Midi in/out on the 002. Would some kind expert give me details on how to set up a midi track for this setup? It may be in the manual but if so I am just not getting it

Hi, It's not very difficult. I would search for some tutorials on YouTube - that would probably be more helpful than someone trying to explain it here.

Try these steps:
Open Setup>Midi>Midi Studio
Create a new instrument(name it Roland if you like)
Select(or not, it does not matter) brand and model.
Select midi IO(002 midi in, and 002 midi out #1 most likely)
Leave all 16 midi channels in blue for send and return.

Open a session and create a stereo instrument track.
Insert a VI plugin in slot A(use MiniGrand for testing, give it a few seconds to load)
Hit the red Record button on the track and play your keyboard(it SHOULD make piano sounds
