Gui lag 12.8.2

I can confirm that everything runs slower in 12.8.2. The GUI is what you notice first with the slow scrolling, but there is a pause after most everything you do like moving a track, activating and deactivating, committing etc. all in all like you were working on a much less powerful computer. Like five years older. And cheaper. :)

So much lag, and that's with an upgraded 8 core nMP. Rolled back to 12.8.1

There could still be an update, just bug fixes (such as...........GUI lag) and no new "major" feature.

They'll wait until the new year. Most people's licenses renew end of December so there's a lot of people who are hoping for this bug fix that'll have to renew before the end of the month if they want to see an update. Avid knows this and will wait until early-mid January to release the update. Just my opinion of course!

Yes but even if their plan expires in december they still have 30 days to renew...

Their tech department's activities surge after each new update because of the increase in calls/emails. I doubt they'll want to introduce that to their company for the holidays. But mainly I suspect that the reason posted above (to entice support plan extensions) is why we won't see an update until 2018.
