Default Gui lag 12.8.2

I had installed 12.8.2 and it was working fine for GUI response. I was on W10 1703. I updated to 1709 and had very sluggish response with an 88.2k session.

I deleted all cache/prefs/DSI/Databases using Trasher 12. I uninstalled PTs and then manually went through the APPData and Program File folder removing all related to ProTools.

I reinstalled PTs 12.8.2, reset up all my preferences, opened the same 88.2k session and have no lag.

Is there anyone working with 12.8.2 that is not experiencing the GUI lag? If so what is your configuration?

I'm not seeing lag either with the setup in my sig.
I do get the random multi tool icons and the occasional glitch.

The machine is an upgraded 6 core mac pro so the GPU's will be the same as Drew's.

Default Gui lag 12.8.2

Had same issue on my Mac book pro after updating to 10.13.1. Uninstalled PTs with app cleaner, cleaned out with PTprefs. Deleted all wavecache files and reloaded and reset up PT 12.8.2 R2. Sluggishness has gone away.

Hi all,

I'm a bit late to the party here - sorry. I upgraded my OS from Yosemite (10.10) to Sierra (10.12) a few months ago and Pro Tools was really laggy. I was convinced it was my graphics card but tried a wired mouse instead of my Apple Magic Mouse and the problem went away. Have any of you tried a wired mouse? I believe the problem with lag maybe with bluetooth in the Mac Pro cheese graters and Sierra/High Sierra.....

Just a thought and it worked for me - hope it does for you

Olly
