Default Question about LightPipe on the 003

...or really just lightpipe in general. Can you daisy-chain multiple preamps to the Digi003 via the lightpipe? Or is there any other way to hook up more than one 8 channel preamp to the 003 digitally?

Thanks

Hey there. I don't have an answer to you question, but rather a question myself. Hihi. I am trying to connect an 8 channel MOTU 896 to my 003 via Optical, and I can't get Protools to show/record any of the stuff that goes into the MOTU. Any idea or tips? Thanks so much. Bjoern.

I haven't actually received my 003 in the mail yet, but the lightpipe inputs should show up just like the regular inputs (even if nothing is plugged into the 003's lighpipe) and you should be able to assign them to the input of a track accordingly.

Because the lightbridge can only use MPowered. MPowered cannot use the DV Toolkit, so if a user were to need that functionality, then it wouldn't be wise for them to purchase the lightbridge/Mpowered. There are a few other things that MPowered cannot do where a user would need to choose LE instead.

That does not make those user's "fools"; that makes them wise for choosing the tools that they require to get their job done.

It does, however, make you a jerk for calling people names on this forum.

Hi Brandy - so you have tried this before hugh? Is it absolutely hopeless? Is it a Digi flaw or is the Motu too proprietory? Tell me more ... and if you're telling the truth ... anybody up for a Motu 896, hahaha. B.
