Just my $0.02.

Barden it’s not silly at all! I always thought there should be an optional integrated colour palette built into the toolbar because there’s plenty of room for it on most displays.

Can’t help thinking that the UI customisations should have been a separate window or even a new pane in preferences.

That said, the ability to customise is very welcome here.

and another irritating thing is that Window Configs does not remember the status of whether the UI Customization arrow is open or collapsed.
I tried making a config that placed it expanded and centered on my screen, but that doesn't help when the open/closed status is not remembered.

Also, when I set it to my saved UI Config, upon reloading the session the Preset says "factory default" even though it actually displays my settings.

Also, when clicking any one of the 5 presets, it still says "factory default", even though I saved one of my presets in each slot, and they actually take effect.

Grayscale please. Custom Colors please. PLEASE.

Having said all that, this addition is still appreciated, believe it or not !

Encountered the same problem, but there is already a solution:

Hope this helps!

thanks, but that's got nothing to do with what we're talking about in this thread.
it's another issue altogether.

everyone : "it's another issue !"

Maybe the reason that many choose to keep the Color Palette open is that there is no built-in Key Command in Pro Tools to show/hide this Inspector.

I assigned a macOS Key Command to toggle that Color Palette Inspector, problem solved. This way I don't care about the extra chin. I even wished that I could resize the window to have all tabs open and visible.

BTW, nice addition to have the switch for the Dark Mode now on the Color Palette Inspector. Not that I will switch to Dark (I'm on the "I can't stand Dark Mode" team)

That's been a major head-scratcher for me ever since I moved to Pro Tools. I'm surprised it isn't complained about more often.
