e: LE 6.1.1 crashes on my ibook G4

I just bought a used mbox ....Pro Tools LE 6.1.1 crashes on my ibook G4. When I create a new session it just freezes and tells me to reboot my computer. I am running Mac 0S 10.4.9 ...Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that 6.1.1 is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.4. You need to go up to at least version 7 to run it on that OS.

DJ.I's right -V6.1.1 has no chance of working. If you purchase an upgrade, you'll get 7.3.1.
You should also check out the thread on 10.4.9, and the combe updater.
Don't forget to do an uninstall before you install your version 7.x

What model is your ibook? I have a 1ghz powerbook and would'nt personnally go any higher than Panther. Many of the new features in Tiger have to be turned off anyway; Dashboard, Spotlight indexing, etc. Actually I have been using Jaguar and 6.1.1 for the last three years with no complaints, but I did get Panther a few weeks ago. I like it a lot and the upgrade from 6.1 to 6.4 is free. Then again the ugrade to 7.3.3 is only $75. You'll need an external firewire drive too and maximum ram.
