PTMP Uneven Volume Issue

I have a Firewire 1814 that I have been using for a couple of years on my G5 without issue. A few months ago, I purchased a MacBook Pro and installed my FW1814 + PTMP. Everything seemed to install correctly and work fine.

However after recording several times I noticed an issue of uneven volume levels on a stereo track. The left side is much louder than the right side.

At first I went through all of my HW (cables, headphones, etc.) and eliminated them as being the source of my issues. I then went through my entire config inluding volume, panning, 1814 Control Panel, etc. After that I went through the process of re-installing my drivers and even PTMP. Before calling M-audio support I even upgraded to 7.3 thinking it could solve my problem.

What I did find out after countless hours of troubleshooting is that the signal is perfectly even when I monitor the HW input via the 1814's control panel. It's only when the signal is routed through the Software that the issue occurs. The issue is also present once a recorded track is played back.

After spending hours on the line with a very helpful M-Audio tech we were both out of ideas. We blew away the I/O options in PTMP, we re-installed, we went through every step I had plus some. He recommended I call Digidesign and here I am.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at the point now I will just purchase an 002 however I do not want to pay for PT7.3 again...
