Default SSD5 not working in 2022.9
Only black GUI when opening the SSD5 plugin window.
Anyone else noticing this?

Works fine in 2022.7 (installed alongside)

MacOS Monterey 12.5.1
Pro Tools Ultimate 2022.9

Don't have a black GUI but no kits will load and therefor no sound. What was odd though when I first opened SSD5 the library base directory was set for the SSD4 library and those kits worked.

What looked like SSD5 which was the only title under Slate in my plugin list was actually SSD4, 5 wasn't showing but it was under Instruments category and it indeed has a black GUI. Try reinstalling it and see what happens.

Same result. Black GUI.

Hey,

Yeah Avid broke the AAX SDK with this update.

I would suggest going back to PT22.7 for the meantime, or if you have BlueCat Patchwork plugin you can run the AU or VST3 in Pro Tools.

Hopefully Avid will have a solution soon and update the SDK.
