I've already said this in the other thread but worth repeating until its resolved.

None of these solutions provide genlock. The ONLY way to use video sync is Digilink. This is a very big hole in Avid's lineup.

When I work in TV production. I sync to the desk that is synced to an Evertz house clock.

I record with either Dante DVS locked to the desk or a RME Madi face depending on the desk. The desk is locked to the master clock.

The conundrum is SMPTE/LTC. Not really an issue for me since we use either video decks or a dedicated standalone audio recorders for post production.

I use PT for virtual soundcheck, editing VO's and or playback.

Right LTC is another issue I didn't think about.

I was referring to video ref and frame-edge sync on playback.

Scary times for those of us who recently invested in HD Native and MTRX Studios. That current setup is running great on my Mac Studio. Ideally they would surprise us with a TB card for the MTRX Studio, would hate to see a mkii only 3 years after the initial release. This was likely a longterm solution for a lot of people.

Are there any other Dante PCIe cards besides the Focusrite?

ALL Dante PCIe cards are no longer supported by macOS.
Do not invest in them (whether Focusrite, Yamaha, etc)
This is info straight from Audinate who controls all things Dante (they made this announcement 2 years ago IIRC)

Maybe Avid need to look at this and find a solution if its user base is to remain.

Maybe look at the RME Digiface Dante. Same idea, but is USB rather than PCIe, so much more future-proof:

They are supported by Mac OS.

They are not supported on Apple Silicon.

As others have said there isn't much from Avid other than HDX but
any Dante USB or Thunderbolt solution will also work.

Focusrite Red, RME Digiface Dante etc.
It was designed for HDX or HD native though.

For some time now I've been using my (full) MTRX as a for Pro Mon and its conversion, as well as being an audio router but my connection to the computer has been using a Rednet PCIER card (Mac Pro) or using the Red 16 Line (MBP or Mac Studio).

It works great.

DAD Core 256 would be a really nifty addition if you can get one.

Yes.... The NTP DAD Core 256 looks interesting. And isn't that expensive.
