Has anybody seen anything like this?
Changing the playlist makes Pro Tools dive. I’m going to submit a case with Avid, and report back here if anybody else is having the same problem.

No, I've never experienced that.

Answer from Avid Customer Care:
This might be related to a known bug that is now currently being investigated logged as: PT-290619 Assert Mix_Window/UMixTable.cpp, line 5283 or others and Mix Window UI broken + crash after performing Playlists commands in Edit Window

I'm getting very odd behaviour when moving a clip in a track playlist - tracks or elements of the mix window will go black, and adjacent plugins (e.g. Waves Tune) start affecting the blacked-out track's audio. I was blaming it on the Monterey 12.6 update, but perhaps the same cause as this thread...
Mac Pro 2019, PT Ultimate 2022.7, HDX card but NOT using the Hybrid engine. Is this fixed in 2022.9, perchance?

I'm currently experiencing this issue on a fresh install of 2022.10. Audio in the track won't play and as soon as I try to change the playlist I'm introduced to everybody's favorite spinning ball.
Mac OS 10.15.7 on a 2018 Mini FWIW Edit: seems to only affect tracks that I dragged and dropped into my sessions from the workspace? Last edited by riantide; 10-29-2022 at 05:51 PM. |
