As long as IE8 is not an improtant part of a DAW, it will likely not be the first priority. PT runs fine with IE7.
I'm sure as most new computers will be delivered with IE8, they can't take forever.

And it runs fine on a Mac - why not just get one of those? Not the point. MS pushes IE7 for reasons other than "it's new". And it's an important part of my DAW.

The other thing at play here is that its been said that its a most likely a Pace driver update thats needed.

So more than likely we are waiting on PACE.

Running IE7 isnt a deal breaker for most of us.

With ie8 and windows live we can now do free 25 GB online data synchronization.

That seems like something some owners may consider?, no?

I purchased Pro Tools by DigiDesign - not a PACE drive from x-company. If DigiDesign bundled it, they are responsible for it. If we are waiting on PACE, why isn't DigiDesign putting pressure on them? This has been a known issue long enough. It's DigiDesign's software bundle. They need to fix this.

Completely understood and we've got the correct PACE data, but there are some intricacies involved that are delaying getting these updates out. It will all become apparent why in the near future.
