Pro Compressor working very well here. I guess you are talking about plugins that are not updated lately, which is wise of course, but if it aint broken it dont need fixing.

Sure, but many of us only need a video window somewhere on our display so we can do dialogue editing, fx spotting, and/or post-score.

well, disappointing new features but I guess not really surprising.
I think we at least deserved an update that included tight Dolby Atmos integration to catch up/compete/overtake Nuendo & Logic.
especially considering the annual Pro Tools "Ultimate" update fee is twice what Logic costs for the entire app - $199 (which includes free updates forever).

I followed you advice and did a complete erase/clean install of monterey on my new M1 Max and installed nothing but iLok and Pro Tools. Unfortunately I still cannot get pro tools to load past the loading plugin screen unless I follow the delete all previous to 2018 plugins. The fact that you have it working on M1 and Monterey fills me with envy i kid!

Sorry to hear about that. I can only report what I see here. Let's hope there will be Apple Silicon native software sooner rather than later...

For anyone interested, I installed and tested it on a macOS 10.13.6 partition and it seems just fine.

2021.10 installation on Win 10 Dell laptop was simple and flawless. Opened and edited my largest session with no issues so far. Also updated Eucon to latest version.

But most of us need our pro studios to work as a pro studio.

I understand the frustration but there's no need for condescension. A dialog editor working from home is as much a professional as a re-recording mixer working in a mix stage. They could even be working on the same project.
