WNS vs ZNoise
Hi all,
I've used a lot of Xnoise on a system with an audio group I've worked with extensively, but personally only own BNR LE from the DV toolkit V1 collection back in the day. As of recently, I've updated the studio here to an HD2 with the waves gold collection and the only other thing I'm hoping to upgrade is to a more flexible noise reduction plugin. With the great sales this month, I was looking at both Znoise and WNS, and wanted to see if anyone could tell me the main difference between the two. I've read through the specs and there's obvious "differences", but was looking for more actual feedback, as well as the main difference between Z and X, since I have had the opportunity to use that one extensively. Unfortunately, I installed the plug, got the demo transferred to my iLok and then tried to boot it open on our system and it immediately says expired so I haven't had a chance to try it first hand. Any comments would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: WNS vs ZNoise
X noise, and Z noise are more similar to each other than they are to WNS.
WNS is modeled after the Cedar boxes, it works best with "room tone" type of noises. For the lack of a better term. |
