Service Pack 1

Just a couple of quick questions, How can I download Service Pack 1 onto cd so i can put it on my protools computer which isn't hooked up to the internet? Is service pack 1 different than service pack 1a because windows site says 1 is no longer available but 1a is. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

The only part of the Windows site for updating that I'm aware of is the one that scans your software to check and see what's needed. If there's another part of the site where you can pick and choose, you might just be able to right-click on it, save it to disk as a file, then burn it to cd, transfer it, and open it with whatever .exe file that was included. Again, I'm not sure you can even do this, though...good luck!

SP1a doesn't have the microsoft virtual machine, http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=813926 . If you're not on the net you probably don't need java anyway. Download the network installation and you can burn it to a cd and install it on your other comp.

or order a free SP 1 CD from microsoft... takes about two weeks (europe)
