Carbon DB25 - Phase Issues

I freely admit that I may be missing something obvious, but I am using a DB25 to 1/4" TRS for the line outputs. I have lines 1/2 running to a mixer to blend with live inputs (not DAW related), but they are playing out of phase. The I/O is set up property (I think), and there is plenty of volume, but out of phase. The mixer takes balanced inputs. I also tried lines 3/4, and running into other devices as well. Thoughts, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

What firmware are you on for the Carbon? (Also, since firmware is tied to Pro Tools, which Pro Tools?)

There was a phase/polarity issue with the Carbon (you can find the mention of it in the forum) that was fixed with a later firmware.

System: Pro Tools 2021.12.0, AVID Carbon, Mac-mini (M1, 2020) - 16GB running OS 12.0.1

I also reviewed other posts and was only able to see information on issues with phase using hardware inserts and nothing (that I saw) specifying upgrading firmware. Any help is appreciated.

Updating on this, I reached out through the AVID support center only to get a response that was associated with inputs, not outputs...my guess is they didn't read my question? In anywise, I responded immediately and have heard nothing back since. I reached out on the ticket again, so we'll see what comes of it.

Hi Bryan,

Are you seeing this issue across all your sessions? Are you using hardware inserts? Which plug-ins are you using?

If you wouldn't mind doing a quick test and create a session with one stereo track (no inserts, plug-ins, etc) to see if you experience the same behavior and please let me know.

Thank you but this is resolved now, and was my fault. Ultimately it wasn't Carbon, but rather the particular channel of the mixer I plugged the DB25 outputs into, was wired out of phase. I switched to a different strip on the mixer and it worked fine. My apologies, but thank you for the follow-up. Now only if PT 12 would work with the Apple M1 chip including all the plug-ins, then all would be well.
