which Ipad for the Dock...

I want to enhance my s3 with the dock. Now, my question is, which iPad should i buy? Is the performance of the iPad air 2 ok with the dock or should i go with the iPad Pro 9.7....

No need for an iPad Pro. My old iPad 2 is even good enough. Just be sure to have a good wifi connection.

that sounds like good news. In another thread Kyle said we have to be careful with other iPads than the Air series because they didn't test them.
Some users reported problems with the track scrolling when using an iPad 2 in the dock. Are you using the iPad 2 in the dock without a problem?

Thanks, that is the official list… It's the iPad mini 2 and newer as well and the iPad Pro 9,7. The iPad Pro 12 is missing.
But if the vintage iPad 2 would work as well without hiccups I don't need to buy a newer one…

I have an ipad 4 and although it works, it doesn't scroll to track which is bit of a bummer.

I see that's what I expected. I asked crustn if he doesn't have this problem you and other people talked about. Does it happen with all "previous Air" iPads or with some only? Does it depend on the iOS version one uses?
