Default I got a Japanese mbox 2

I just opened my mbox 2 and took the plastic off of the pro tools discs and manuals, and the manuals are in japanese. And on that piece of cardboard packaged with the manuals it says "mbox 2 JPN". Did anyone else ever get one like this? I'm wondering if I need to return it or not. Thanks.

I would check with DIGI customer service, They may simply send you the correct manuals. You may be able to return it (depending on where you bought it). In the meantime you can down load all of the documents in english from the Digidesign website. That will get you going Grasshopper

Would I be too much of a smart ass to suggest that people in Japan may have gotten those models before you?

Yes I agree, perfect amount of smart-ass. And I'm sending it back and getting the US version. The customer service guy at musicians friend thought it was pretty funny.

I had a buddy who bought a Layla here in the states which came with a european power cord... it happens. I think that was Musicians Friend, too.
