Default Feature Request: Add/Remove Controllers

The Add/Remove Controllers... feature in MIDI automation lanes should have checkboxes to automatically add new lanes to the current track or all tracks for each CC added to the list with the current operation.

E.g., the selected MIDI or Instrument track in shows only the default set of controllers (1,2,4,11,64).
  1. I open an automation lane, click on "velocity" and select "controllers-->Add/Remove Controllers..."
  2. I select one or more from the list and click "Add>>"
  3. I check the proposed box if needed (state is remembered from one operation to the next) to add new lanes to the current track
  4. One new lane is created for each newly added controller
The purpose of this is to avoid having to manually select the new lanes from the list after creating them. It's difficult to think of a time when I would want to add, say, CC18 to the list, but not want a new CC18 lane unless I were proactively adding many just in case they happened to be needed.

and even better would be for a midi region to 'remember' the CC lanes that were chosen in the midi editor, just like in cubase......

To expand on that a little more --

There should be a keyboard shortcut to open/close the automation lanes.

There should be an option (modifier key while clicking the + button to make a new lane) that automatically creates a new lane for each CC number for which there is data in the MIDI Events list for that track.

Newly created individual lanes should by default be the next CC number for which there is data in the MIDI Events list for that track that doesn't already have a lane. Only if all data in the track is already accounted for should the new lane be for an unrepresented CC number.

I just finished modding the whole Spitfire BBCSO Pro Tools template, adding several new lanes to each track. Good grief was that a slog. Hours upon hours of needlessly repetitive mouse clicks. You'd think this was still the 20th century the way it works in PT.
